The presence of the College of Technology and Innovation and all its programs help set the ASU’s Polytechnic campus apart from other polytechnic institutions. Through its diverse programs in Aviation, Computing, Electronics, Engineering, Environmental and Emergency Technologies, as well as Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Technologies, the College of Technology and Innovation is able to serve many students with varied interests. Students have access to top-of-the-line labs and facilities to prepare themselves for professional and technologically focused careers needed in the community and the 21st century.

  • Aeronautical Management Technology (AMT)
    Prepares aviation and aerospace professionals with unique laboratories and airline industry collaborations:
      • Two High Altitude Chambers,
      • Two full-motions, regional jet simulators for virtual flight training,
      • An Airline Bridge Training program to facilitate job placement
  • Division of Computing Studies (DCS)
    Provides students with the best practices of industry professionals in computing systems and software:
      • Programs in computer language applications, computer architecture, and distributed Web-based applications,
      • Academic programs that adapt to workplace needs.
  • Electronic Systems (ESD) (ECET)
    Prepares technologists through advanced instruction and unique laboratories:
      • Microelectronics Teaching Factory for silicon wafer fabrication,
      • Photovoltaic Testing Laboratory; one of three in the world,
      • Industry-experienced faculty.
  • Engineering (ENG)
    Provides interdisciplinary programs, applicable to a wide range of career opportunities:
      • Comprehensive curriculum built on established successes,
      • Development of the nation’s first security engineering program,
      • Supportive environment for entrepreneurship.
  • Department of Technology Management (DTM)
    Develops and implements solutions to business, governmental and industrial problems:
      • Environmental Technology, Fire Service, Industrial Technology, Graphic Information Technology, and Global Technology and Development,
      • Environmental and safety training throughout the Southwest and Mexico,
      • BAS in Emergency Management for military personnel.
  • Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MMET)
    Applied engineering programs combining theory and practice in state-of-the-art laboratories:
      • Design and build machines, airplanes, alternative energy systems, or automated processes or machines,
      • Specialty concentrations available in aeronautical, automation and automotive,
      • BS programs accredited by TAC of ABET, providing a path towards engineering licensure.
